Looking In The Mirror Of Truth
Becka Segroves

the reflection in the mirror looking back at me
can you look me in the eyes and tell me what i see.
do i know this person ? does this person know me?
do we stand together just this person and me?
just standing here and looking clueless as can be.
i wonder who is this person staring back at me.

is it really ugly, cruel, and hateful as can be
do i treat all people this way because someone did
to me? i don't much like this person, please tell
me it's not me.please tell me i'm not the person
that i don't want to be.

i will change my life in everyway to ensure i put
my life on the right track.and if i don't succeed
at this , i really truely think that someday i will
like this image staring back at me.
